The primary goal of Montpellier Collectors is to inspire more people to think carefully about the items they have in their lives, by putting together a collection of the best vintage class goods. Pre-loved pieces from the late 1800s up to the modern day, all with a story to tell.
From industrial storage to country rustic, you'll find different kinds of truly unique treasures, including vintage typewriters, medical tins, transistors, advertisements, porcelain, airline collectibles, toys, maps, posters, tobacciana, sports souvenirs, automobilia, bistrot, polaroids and more. Along with repurposing those vintage finds, Montpellier Collectors provides insight to others to design their own creative surroundings.
It is an ongoing project captured and created in March 2016 by Vassilis Spyrou, a freelance photographer and graduate of Renovation and Restoration of Buildings. Combining his knowledge and skills of interior design elements and principles along with his travelling experiences, as well as the fact he was always drawn to collectible vintage items, the idea of his latest venture sprung to mind while strolling around the flea markets in Southern France.
A passionate collector himself, regarding items related to photography, he felt the urge to share his precious findings with those who wished to give a touch of vintage class in their living space. It wasn’t long before the first item was shipped to New York, a 70’s UTA French Airlines Carry-On travel bag and shortly after orders followed from more than 20 countries.
Montpellier Collectors specialises on refurbishing and refinishing old or uninspiring pieces to give them a new lease of life
